The GX-49 Shin Mazinger Z is a previously released version upgraded to include Mazingerâs newest weapon of mass destruction, the ultimate God Scrander, based in the design for the 2009 âShin Mazinger Shougeki Z Henâ anime. The God Scrander attaches to the back of Mazinger, and the wings can partially enclose the figure to resemble the massive right fist Zeus; the GX-49 Shin Mazinger Z is accompanied by a custom display designed to accommodate Mazinger Z, the Hover Pilder, Mazingerâs alternate hands, optional hands, and alternately designed to display Mazinger in robot mode in a mid-flight or in Big Bang Punch mode. Like his teammates, Aphrodai A and Boss Borot, Mazinger Z was intended to be a last defense against conquest-hungry tyrants including the likes of Dr. Hell and the infinitely horrifying Baron Ashura. Generally, Dr. Hell acted through robotic monsters proportionate to Mazinger Z.
